Erasing Frank is shooting on 16 mm2020.08.03
Shooting on 16 mm film has begun for Erasing Frank, the Hungarian director, Gábor Fabricius’s feature film. The historical drama approaches the socialist dictatorship in a unique way. It tells the story of Frank, a charismatic singer in an underground band, who, in order to keep him quiet, is closed by the regime in a politically-motivated psychiatric institution.

Kodak interviewed Mátyás Erdély on the American production, The Nest. The feature directed by Sean Dirkin was shot on 35 mm negative in Kanada, the USA and then the UK, and finally, the 35 mm print was made in Budapest, at the Hungarian Filmlab. It was a pleasure again to work together, this time, on an international project.
