References:
Ludas Matyi was the first Hungarian colour feature
film, the copy of which was almost completely faded. During
restoration we recovered the colours of the film. In order
to receive the best result we developed special softwares.
The final colour correction was made with Baselight. We
used Arrilaser to make a new negative of the film.
We used similar technologies to restore the newsreel
of 1st May, 1949. The main difference was that
here the negative had been lost. So we scanned the positive
copy which was kept only in a bad condition.
We restored the whole heritage of Manaki Brothers for
the Macedonian Film Archive Institute. These films were
shot in 1905.
We have restored several famous Hungarian films using
traditional opto-chemical technology.
We co-operate with several European archives (Slovenian,
German etc.) in their restoration work.
