A new sound studio at the Filmlab
A new sound studio has been opened at the Filmlab where we do sound mixing and restoration of archive films. Our services: preparation, digitization, sound editing, premix, final mix (5.1 and broadcast).
This small studio is mainly optimized for nearfield audio monitoring for broadcast works but it is equipped with a Dolby standard 5.1 system as well complemented with a cinema projector, in addition to our Dolby licensed big sound mixing cinema theatre.
The work station includes ProTools system installed on iMac, with Avid, Waves, Sonnox, iZotope, Nugen Audio plugins and a Cedar DNS 3000 dialoge noise suppresser. The sound post production studio is equipped with tools for sound digitization, such as Sondor Resonance for sound scanning and MWA for sound transfer of magnetic tapes (16, 17,5 and 35 mm), optical sound negatives and positives with sound.
Our sound engineers are Gábor Pethő and Péter Rosenmann. Gábor Pethő had worked 15 years in dubbing studios and TV channels as a sound engineer before the Filmlab, while Péter Rosenmann had been working at the Hungarian Radio making radio plays, literature programmes and did sound restoration, then in dubbing studios on the voiceover of international documentaries since 1988. His works have been rewared with numerous awards.
