Ecstasy and Irony: Czech Cinema, 1927–1943 in MOMA

From the 11th and 23rd of April prewar Czech films, such as Carl Junghans’s Such Is Life (1930), Hugo Haas’s The White Disease (1937) and Gustav Machatý From Saturday to Sunday (1931) restored at the Hungarian Filmlab are screened at MoMA, The Museum of Modern Art in New York. The programme, Ecstasy and Irony: Czech Cinema, 1927–1943 was organized in collaboration with the Czech National Film Archive (NFA).
