Magyar Filmlabor has bought a new Northlight scanner. We are about installing this scanner that can digitalize films in cinemascope quality.
Magyar Filmlabor will finish the digital restoration of old Hungarian films for the National Film Archives in November. World wide known films got restored and the cameramen of these oldies also take part in the work.
The 36th Hungarian Film Week has come to an end. The jury of feature films gave the prize in the category of the best director to Áron Gauder for his movie The District.
The 36th Hungarian Film Week was held from 1st to 8th of February. To our great pride The Hungarian Film Laboratory had the honour to make the logo animation film for the 36th Hungarian Film Week.
After a long break the shooting of Pesti Harlem-made by Newbalance Ltd.- has continued. An agreement has been achived between Magyar Filmlabor (MF) and production team regarding scheduelles and further tasks.
After long preplannings, it is certain to say that the american feature film titled; the Velvet Side of Hell produced by Sandstorm Films - which is part of the Sony Picture Group - will have it’s laboratory works done with MF. According to plans, the shooting of the film will last six weeks.
The MF’s team has expanded - and has become more youthful - with the arrival of some new colleagues. Zsolt Gémes as film editor in the Digital Studio; Ádám Halász as colorist in the Video Studio; Zoltán Horváth as IT system operator; and last - but definitely not least - Andrea Viniczai as communication manager will be working in our ’family’ for the future.
