The "World Is Big and Salvation Lurks around the Corner" ( Светът е голям и спасение дебне отвсякъде ) based on a novel by Ilija Trojanow, took home the Kodak prize for best Bulgarian feature film. Winning again, in its Sofia debut this time in the eyes of the public, the Bulgarian-German-Slovenia-Hungarian co-production won "viewers’ choice" prize.
Directed by Stephan Komandarev the film was produced by the hungarian partner Inforg Stúdió among others. According to the producer Muhi András "The World Is Big …" had the largest budget of recent bulgarian productions totaling over two million Euroes.
